Dave Nebot builds the systems companies publish through. At Shure he owns the platform its technical documentation is authored in and published through: the in-house component CMS its technical writers author in; the print production suite behind every Shure print publication; the previewer writers use to publish roughly 350 guides across languages; and the PDF generation behind the downloadable ones. He has led two platform migrations — an in-house archive of about a thousand publications into Acquia DAM, and that CCMS into Heretto — neither of which required a publishing freeze or a rollback, and on both he led the rollout as well as the code: the standards, the training, and the adoption. He works mostly on migrations and internal tooling, where the difficulty is replacing a live system without anyone downstream noticing. He is based in Illinois, works in English, Spanish, Catalan and Italian, and writes documentation nobody asked for.
